I am grateful that you have made the decision to explore this website and to learn more about me and the services that I offer.
I graduated from Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health in the Fall of 2006, where I was trained in Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Reflexology, and Pregnancy Massage. Since graduating I have added Structural Integration work to my practice.
I currently work as a Medical Massage Therapist at Midtown West Medical. I also offer mobile massage, bringing the massage to the comfort of your own home.
Prior to becoming a Massage Therapist I worked in the broad field of education and community engagement. I mainly focused my work on Youth Empowerment and Social Justice issues. The work I've done with groups of youth and young adults, blended with my Massage training has prepared me for the work I do one-on-one as a Massage Therapist. I still enjoy working with youth through sports and experienced based teaching/learning.
I find inspiration in clients who work with the process of healing and wellness. Healing is at its best when the client is actively participating in their own process and intended outcomes. In my experience people who actively engage in their own healing (i.e goal setting, following through with their home care program, willingly work to change unhealthy patterns) process will have positive results with their overall treatment.
